Here at the Derby and Nottingham Fireplace Company we like to think that anything is possible. Not all fireplace projects can be completed with an 'off the peg' product, this is where our bespoke and specials service comes in.

From something as as simple as a marble hearth made to fit the cut out in your existing carpet or a complete custom hole in wall fireplace we can help. The advantage of having our own workshop is it allows us to turn what could be a restrictive problem into an issues that is easily resolved, opening up a world of choice to every customer. Our showrooms are an ideal place to get inspired and to discus your individual requirements with a member of our friendly staff.

An example of one of the largest projects we have undertaken
are the two fireplaces designed and installed for Park Plaza Hotels and Resorts. Initially we were asked to design a contemporary hole in wall design gas fire for the main reception area of their AA Hotel of The Year Award winning site in Cardiff. This project was taken from design to installation utilising custom built gas burners and fan assisted flue systems to give a welcoming and relaxed finish to their reception. From the success of the Cardiff installation we where asked to design a similar fireplace for Park Plaza's Nottingham site. This again required custom built gas burners and flue systems which allowed the fire to be view from two sides.

The concepts and technologies utilised in these commercial installation also lend themselves to those extra special domestic projects. Take the Drugasar gas fire we installed in a customers newly refurbished living room in Nottingham. This project involved the building of a false chimney breast with integrated lighting and hot air venting to house the Drugasar Avanto balance flue gas fire. The design also integrated a custom built 'floating' granite hearth. From start to finish the installation took two days to complete leaving the customer with an extremely efficient gas fire in a completely unique surrounding.
